Rachel is particularly passionate about helping women age well, empowering them to stay active, strong and capable for many years to come.

Clinical Pilates for Injury Rehabilitation

Clinical Pilates can be an excellent way to support recovery from injury and improve the way your body moves.

Rachel regularly works with clients experiencing:

  • Back pain

  • Neck pain

  • Hip pain

  • Knee pain

  • Shoulder pain

  • Poor posture

  • Core weakness

Because Rachel works closely with Southside Clinic's osteopaths, physiotherapists and chiropractor, your Clinical Pilates program can complement your existing treatment plan, creating a collaborative approach to your recovery.

Babies can definitely be challenging, but they’re also incredibly rewarding to treat. Sometimes a small change is all it takes for a baby to settle - and for a parent to take a deep breath and feel reassured that things are going to be okay.”

What to Expect

Every new Clinical Pilates and StrongHER client begins with a private one-on-one Initial Assessment with Rachel.

During this 60-minute session, Rachel will take the time to understand your health history, current concerns, goals and movement patterns. She'll assess your strength, mobility, posture and stability before developing a personalised program that's tailored specifically to your body and your individual needs.

This assessment ensures your exercises are safe, effective and appropriate for your current abilities, whether you're recovering from an injury, managing ongoing pain, returning to exercise, or simply wanting to become stronger and move with greater confidence.

Following your Initial Assessment, Rachel will recommend the most suitable pathway for you. This may include small group Clinical Pilates, our StrongHER strength or Mat Pilates classes or one-on-one Clinical Pilates sessions, depending on your goals and level of experience.

Sessions may incorporate a combination of the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector and mat-based exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, posture, core stability and overall body awareness.

Whether you're completely new to Pilates or have previous experience, Rachel will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported, challenged and confident as you progress.
